Mission Statement

The mission of the school library media center program is to prepare students to become effective and efficient users of resources, ideas, information and other intellectual properties. The school library media program promotes a love of reading and is strongly committed to helping students become lifelong readers and learners. In the school library media center, students develop critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills as they use a variety of resources to enhance their studies.

Library / Media Center Program Description

The Norwood Public School Library / Media Center welcomes students for Library classes in grades K-1 each week and students in grades 2-8 visit the library once a week with their Language Arts teachers. All children participate in reading and research activities that teach them literacy and information retrieval skills.
