NPS is proud to introduce its Principal for a Day, Mr. Delano! Mr. Delano began the day by making morning announcements where he extended recess by 5 minutes for all! Throughout the day Mr. Delano will also be visiting classrooms & walking "Nike" our therapy dog!
This week K-4 students had a blast celebrating Read Across America week. Each day M-F encompassed a unique theme to add to the excitement!

Today we learned strategies on how to THRIVE as middle school students.
5th and 6th graders spent time learning about proper dental hygiene today.
Grade 3 & 4 students are participating in our annual Invention Convention program. This year's theme is "Service-Based Programming". Special thanks to our staff for organizing this wonderful program and to our guest presenters for sharing their words of inspiration!
Such a great addition to our general music program.

The past 12 days have brought lots of cold and rainy weather. We would like to express appreciation to our staff that help to facilitate morning arrival. They consistently welcome our students with smiles and words of encouragement regardless of what the weather has in store.
Today our 8th graders debated the pros and cons of electric vehicles. They were joined by some of their 7th grade peers who weighed in on their debate skills.
Today Grade 1 students played "Roll a Sight Word". Students rolled their die, read the sight word, and then wrote the sight word in the box below the word. The game continued until one sight word column was full or until the entire board was filled.
Today we hosted our second Healthbarn USA assembly as we continue to place emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle. Students enjoyed learning about the benefits of fruits and vegetables!
Today our 8th graders were treated to a presentation on Internet Safety from the Bergen County Prosecutors Office.
